Good, Bad, and Weird: Handmade Harry Potter

There's no doubt about it, J.K. Rowling has some pretty intense fans. They dress up to go to movies and book releases, they write essays that they post on fansites, they make mockumentaries based on her work, and some of them even write some pretty creepy erotic fan fiction. In addition to all that, there are apparently whole legions of Potter fanatics who create crafty Harry Potter-related items and put them for sale online.

Etsy features many buttons made by Potterphiles reading things like "got snape?"; "I (heart) Won Won"; "Muggles Have More Fun"; and of course "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." There are also countless wands, time-turners, red-and-gold scarves, and golden snitch-inspired jewelry. These are great, and many are quite handsomely made, but similar items can be found at the WB Store, Hot Topic, and even in the Sky Mall catalogue. Summary: Ashtin knows only four things about her true family 1: Her father is alive. 2: Her mother is dead. 3: Her father gave her up several days after her mother died. 4: Her real last name starts with a S and ends with an E. But, that doesn't matter. She has a new family and a life in Lima, Ohio. Why would she care? That all changes when her and most of The Glee Club are sent to Hogwarts. Will Ashtin meet her real father? Romance sparks and some bits are gonna be funny, just to let you know.

Now for the Story!

Prologue:

Draco Malfoy walked alone down the halls of Hogwarts to the Slytherin common room. He had just witnessed Potter and his Mudblood and Blood Traitor friends get accused for petrifying Filch's cat. He suddenly saw Snape whish by, dropping a small piece of paper as her went. Draco looked at the paper questioningly. What could this be? He picked up the paper and was shocked by it.

It was a picture of a baby girl.

The girl had bright blue eyes, electric blue. Her hair was jet-black and she had a bang that, if you were facing the same direction as her, a little to the right of the middle of her forehead and covered half of her eye. It ended right before her ear, coming together in a little point. What was really surprising about the baby is that the bang was electric blue, the same color as her eyes.

"I'll return it to Professor Snape later… Tomorrow, after Potions." Draco thought.

OoO Next Day OoO

The next day after class Draco went up to Professor Snape's desk. "Professor, you dropped this last night." Draco said politely, handing him the picture. Snape's eyes widened as he snatched the picture and put it in his pocket, patting it afterward. "Sir, can I ask you, who is that a picture of?" Draco asked, still using the same politeness, but with curiosity mixed in now.

Snape sighed, the boy deserved an answer for returning it. "That… Mr. Malfoy…. Is my daughter."
