Barclays: US nat gas edges lower supply concerns
Net Canadian imports were down roughly 1 Bcf/d y/y, to 5.7 Bcf/d; LNG imports were off 0.3 Bcf/d, to 1.1 Bcf/d; and net exports to Mexico increased 0.9 Bcf/d, to 1.4 Bcf/d. Low cost US production is obviating the need to import higher-priced gas elsewhere and is indeed making deeper inroads into Mexico, a trend we discussed recently in Natural Gas Weekly Kaleidoscope: Fueling Mexico, June 21, 2011. In the US, residential, commercial, and Electricity demand for natural gas all benefited from an extended cold streak that concluded winter.
Demand in these end-use sectors increased 2.3 Bcf/d y/y in aggregate, in large part due to a 19% y/y increase in heating degree days (HDDs). Even more impressive, industrial demand grew 1.2 Bcf/d y/y (0.8%), well outpacing the 4.7% y/y increase in the IP index for April. So far, industrial gas demand has tracked IP closely, suggesting further data are needed before announcing a new industrial revolution.

Earlier this week we saw photos of Michael Lohan gettin’ frisky with his new chick, known only as Bernadette , in Florida but today we learn that the couple have made their way here to SoCal to gross out the folks who live here with their new love affair. Michael and Bernadette made their way to Trousdale last night and feigned embarrassment as they were photographed by the paparazzi (as if they weren’t tickled pick that they were getting attention from the paps). It would seem that these two are planning to flaunt their new “love” as a new way to garner attention.
I’m predicting it now. 3 months from now, Trent is going to be posting a story about how the cops were called at 3am to the Lohan residence to arrest Michael Lohan for physical assault and battery with a candle stick and water bottle to his attention whore-seeking gf. Afterwords, Michael will release a statement (with the help of his “WTF AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE” publicist about how this was all just a misunderstanding and he never physically assaulted or hurt her in any way. And then, they’ll break up and we’ll never hear from what’s her face ever again. Repeat same story with different bimbo in 6 months. Also, I’m sure Dina & Lindsay will update their twitter accounts, hold press conferences and just generally give their two cents to anyone who will listen.
